WHO WE ARE
“I feel very inspired and excited to live in an era where we do not have to accept limitations. We set up the Key Clinic to be able to provide cutting edge treatments to help all those who have been told ‘they can’t’.”
ROLE AT THE CLINIC:
Founding partner. Registered INPP practitioner and a registered Berard Auditory Integration Training therapist.
BA and MA in Experimental Psychology from Oxford University, with a particular interest in neurophysiology. Post graduate training as a neurophysiological psychologist at the Institute of Neurophysiological Psychology (INPP) in Chester. One of very few fully qualified Berard Auditory Integrative Training practitioners in the UK. She continues to research and train in the latest methods for helping the brain to heal through the body and the body to heal through the brain.
A mother of four children, Sarah was struck by the vast increase in numbers of children being diagnosed with learning and behavioural problems and soaring teenage/adult anxiety and depression rates. The only treatment options on offer in the UK appeared to be medication to suppress symptoms, talking therapies (with variable success rates) or being told to ‘learn to live with it’.
She says: ‘These approaches are increasingly outdated in light of the rapid developments in our understanding of neuroplasticity; or the brain’s ability to rewire itself.’ Sarah is passionate about researching the evidence behind the latest, ground-breaking, neuroplastic treatments. Having lived in the US, Japan, Singapore, France and the UK, she brings a breadth of experience regarding different approaches adopted in different countries.
In launching The Key Clinic, her aim was to build a unique, multi-disciplinary team where the latest breakthrough interventions could be offered to patients in one place.
